Reiterates wage recovery and social program reach as markers of change.
Newsroom City of puebla, Pue. — Puebla State Cabinet Coordinator José Luis García Parra declared that the PAN and the political right “have no face nor moral quality” to point out failures in the federal or Puebla governments, after the demonstrations on November 15 and critiques of the Fourth Transformation initiatives.
In his public remarks, García Parra reproached detractors for overlooking exploitative labor practices during the neoliberal period and defended 4T measures to reverse them. “With what face, with what moral quality do they claim inadequate action?”, he asked reporters (press conference, official remarks).
He highlighted that the minimum wage rose from 88 pesos to 207 pesos per day and that programs such as Jóvenes Construyendo el Futuro have benefited more than 3.4 million people. He added that President Claudia Sheinbaum aims to incorporate 500,000 young people annually starting in 2026.
García Parra argued that the November 15 mobilization had legitimate causes but was used by the political right to craft a narrative and seize it for political ends. He recalled that the PAN voted against constitutionalizing social programs and opposed the budget that strengthens them.
He concluded that the Fourth Transformation has pulled more than 13 million Mexicans out of poverty and stated that the current criticisms from the opposition “lack foundation”, because, in his view, they come from those who abandoned the country in the past.
